The Environmental Hotel Gallitzinberg

A traditional Viennese establishment

Vienna’s Gallitzinberg (also known as the Wilhelminenberg) has a long tradition of hospitality. Since 1929, guests have been welcomed at the site of today's Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick. It is also the place where the foundation stone of the Schani Hotel Group was laid. While Hilda Komarek was founding and running one of the first eco-hotels in Vienna, her son Benedikt started learning the craft of hotel management. In 2015, Benedikt opened his first, own hotel – Hotel Schani Wien at the Central Station – and now, with the re-opening, the original eco-hotel in the 16th district has also become a member of the Schani family.
