Hotel Schani UNO City: Frequently asked questions

Bookings & Cancellations

  • Which payment methods are accepted?
    Payment methods accepted for overnight stays are AMEX, Apple Pay, Diners, Discover, Klarna, Maestro, Mastercard, UnionPay in Euro and Visa. Charges for services on invoices to be paid at a later date must be discussed with Hotel Schani UNO City Wien in advance.

    Payment methods accepted on-site for the consumption of food and drinks or other goods and services provided by Hotel Schani UNO City Wien include cash in euros, or payments by debit card, AMEX, Apple Pay, Diners, Discover, Google Pay, Maestro, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay in Euro, Visa, und Vpay.

  • Do I need to make a down payment when booking?
    No deposit is required when booking a flexible rate. When booking a non-refundable rate, the full amount will be charged directly to the credit card provided at the time of booking.

  • How long is the free-of-charge-cancellation period?
    When booking a flexible rate, you can cancel or change your booking free-of-charge until 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. Should you cancel after 3:00 pm on the day of your arrival, you will be charged the full amount of your stay. Additionally, your right to use the room will become void. Should you want to change your booking and the desired alternative dates are unavailable, you will not be able to change your reservation.

    Should you have booked a non-refundable rate, the full amount of your reservation will be charged to your credit card. In general, non-refundable reservations cannot be cancelled or changed and your money will not be refunded. If your credit card is denied, Hotel Schani UNO City Wien reserves the right to cancel your reservation. This will also void your right to use any room.

  • Does the room rate include taxes?
    Our rates include all mandatory taxes, levies and fees. Should tax, levy or fee levels change or new, additional taxes, levies and fees be introduced, Hotel Schani UNO City Wien reserves the right to adjust its rates appropriately. Our room rates are shown per room per night.

Check-in and Check-out

  • What are your check-in and check-out times?
    You can check into your room from 3:00 pm onwards. Should you arrive earlier, you can store your luggage at the hotel and start exploring the city’s hidden secrets.
    Check-out is until 11:00 am.

  • Is there an option for a late check-out?
    Do you want to fully savor your last day? In that case, you can book a late check-out and stay until 1:00 pm. We charge 15 € per hour for the late check-out.

  • Is the reception 24/7?
    You can arrive at our hotel 24/7 and our self check-in counter is available around the clock. However, please let us know if you wish to arrive after midnight.

Breakfast

  • When is breakfast? 
    Breakfast is available from 6:30 am to 10:30 am on Mondays to Fridays and from 7:00 am to 11:00 am at the weekends and on public holidays.

  • Does breakfast cost extra?
    You can add breakfast to your booking at 23 € per person. If you are already staying with us and haven’t booked breakfast, you can enjoy it spontaneously for 23 € per person. Just ask one of our colleagues at the reception.

  • Can external guests have breakfast as well?
    Of course, our breakfast is available to both hotel guests and external visitors. So grab your friends or family and join us across the Danube at Hotel Schani UNO City Wien. External visitors can enjoy our breakfast for 25 €.

Bar & Kitchen

  • Is there a bar or restaurant in the hotel?
    Yes, our Seven Botanicals Bar & Kitchen is the perfect place to unwind after a long day. Take a seat in our living room, try out our signature drinks and enjoy our soul food. 
  • What are the opening hours of the Seven Botanicals Bar & Kitchen?
    Our Bar & Kitchen is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 11:30 am and 1:00 am and from Sunday to Monday between 11:30 am and 11:00 pm.

  • Are external visitors welcome at the Bar & Kitchen? 
    Of course, we are always happy to welcome new faces!

  • Can I book a table? 
    Yes, you can book your table online here.

Digital travel companion

  • What can our digital travel companion do for you?
    We have digitalized lots of things, so you can really focus on enjoying your stay in Vienna. You can fill out all your personal details on our form in advance of your arrival using our Web App. This means you can do your mobile check-in and mobile check-out simply and easily via smartphone. We will send you all the information you need beforehand by email.

    Your smartphone will also become your room key thanks to our Web App. Your mobile key will be ready to download directly after check-in. However, should you prefer a good old-fashioned key card, we will gladly give you one.

  • Where can I administer my booking?
    You can find your reservation here. Our tip: get yourself a user account to keep track of your booking.

Arrival & Mobility

  • What is the easiest way to get to Hotel Schani UNO City?
    The subway station Kaisermühlen VIC of subway line U1 is located just a two minutes’ walk from our hotel. At the station, take the exit in the direction of Vienna International Center and turn right at the exit. Then turn left onto Wagramer Straße and you will see the hotel after two minutes on the opposite side of the road.

  • How do I get to Hotel Schani UNO City from the airport?
    The Vienna Airport Lines bus station Julius Payer Gasse is located directly in front of our hotel. Between 5:00 am and 8:00 pm bus line number 3 takes you from the airport to our front door in just 30 Minutes.

    If you arrive in Vienna at a time when the Vienna Airport Lines are not in operation, it is best to take the train from the airport to Praterstern and change there to the underground line U1. It is then only 5 minutes by by underground to the station Kaisermühlen and to our hotel.

  • Is there an airport shuttle?
    Unfortunately there is no airport shuttle to or from our hotel. However, the Vienna Airport Lines bus No. 3 departs across the street in the direction of Vienna International Airport. We are also happy to organize an airport taxi for you. Just let us know at the reception.

  • I will be arriving by car, are there parking spaces?
    Depending on availability, you can park your car in our garage. You will find the entrance to the garage on Wagramer Straße, just a few meters past the hotel entrance.

    We charge 4.50 € per hour and a maximum of 27 € per day at our parking garage. Just take a ticket as you enter and pay at the reception.

  • Where are the closest e-charging stations?
    In our garage you will find three e-charging stations where you can charge your electric vehicle while you make yourself comfortable in our lobby or in your room.

  • Can I rent a car?
    Should you want to rent a car, you can do that directly at the airport: Sixt Car Hire.

  • Can I store my luggage at the hotel?
    You can store your luggage securly in one of our lockers before checking in and after checking out. 

Workshops & Seminars

  • What event locations are there?
    Hotel Schani UNO City offers plenty of hidden corners to celebrate – from the event rooms to the garden and the bar. Simply send us an inquiry for your individual event.

  • What are the capacities for events? 
    The number of people varies, depending on the location and seating arrangement, but we have space for up to 100 people.

 

  • Is there catering and are there packages? 
    We can create an individual offer for your event, depending on your needs. Just send us your inquiry.

Pets, Welcome Drink & Co

  • Is my dog allowed to stay in the hotel with me? 
    We love animals and are happy to welcome your dog as well. For your favorite four-legged friend we charge an additional 19 € per night. When booking via our website, you can add your dog to your reservation under “Services”.

  • Thirsty on your arrival? 
    Book your stay of two or more nights via our website and enjoy a welcome drink at our bar.

  • Dining like a Viennese, what do you recommend?
    Our hotel is located directly at the subway line U1, which takes you to the center of Vienna in just a few minutes. Here you will find various restaurants, cafés and bars. But there are also plenty of restaurants in our neighborhood, directly on the Danube. 

    Ask our colleagues for their tips, we know a place for every taste.

  • I like wine! What would you recommend?
    In Stammersdorf, Jedlersdorf and Strebersdorf you will find one typical Austrian Buschenschank next to the other. In addition to homegrown and regional wine, typical Austrian cuisine is served at these restaurants. A list of Heurigen and winegrowers on our side of the Danube can be found here
