- Do I need to make a deposit when booking?
For bookings with a flexible rate, no deposit is required. On the day of arrival, the total amount of the booking will be automatically charged to the credit card provided.
For reservations with a non-refundable rate, the total amount will be charged directly at the time of booking via the payment method you selected in advance.
- Which payment methods are accepted?
For hotel bookings:
We accept AMEX, Apple Pay, Diners, Discover, Klarna, Maestro, Mastercard, UnionPay (in euros), and Visa. Payment by invoice is only possible upon prior arrangement with Hotel Schani Salon.
On-site for food, drinks, and other services:
Payment is possible with cash (euros), debit card, AMEX, Apple Pay, Diners, Discover, Google Pay, JCB, Maestro, Mastercard, UnionPay (in euros), Visa, and Vpay.
- How long can I cancel free of charge?
Bookings with a flexible rate can be cancelled or rebooked free of charge until 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. If a reservation is cancelled after 3:00 pm on the day of arrival, the entire stay will be charged your right to use the room will become void. Rebookings are subject to availability.
For reservations with a non-refundable rate, the full amount is charged to the credit card at the time of booking. These reservations cannot be cancelled, changed, or refunded. If payment cannot be charged to the credit card, the hotel may cancel the reservation, which forfeits the right to use the room.
- I’m travelling with my dog, is that allowed?
Yes, dogs are very welcome! For the additional cleaning effort, we charge 19 € per night for your four-legged friend. When booking via our website, you can easily add your dog to your reservation.
- What are the check-in and check-out times?
Your room will be ready for you from 3:00 pm onwards. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us and start exploring beautiful Vienna.
Check-out is until 11:00 am.
- Is the reception open 24 hours?
Our reception team is here for you daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. If you arrive after 10:00 pm., please let us know briefly by email. That way we can let you know how to check in and collect your room key.
- Is there an option for a late check-out?
Yes, subject to availability, you can extend your stay until 2:00 pm for 10 € per additional hour.
- How often will my room be cleaned?
Out of love for the environment, we only clean your room during your stay upon request. You are welcome to let us know at check-in if you would like your room cleaned throughout your entire stay.
If you decide spontaneously that you would like your room cleaned, please hang the green door sign on your outside doorknob by 11:00 am. Our housekeeping team will then clean your room the same day, of course free of charge.
- How many rooms does the hotel have?
Hotel Schani Salon has 24 rooms.
- Do you offer breakfast?
We start the day with an Italian breakfast and prepare a fine selection of hot drinks, juices, fruit, and croissants every morning.
- What are the breakfast hours?
Our Italian breakfast is available Monday to Sunday from 7:00 am to 10:30 am.
- How much does breakfast cost?
Our Italian breakfast is already included in the room price for all bookings.
- Is there a bar in the hotel?
Yes, our bar is the perfect place to end the day in a relaxed atmosphere. Stop by – our lobby bar is open until 10:00 pm.
- Can external guests visit the bar?
Of course! Our bar is also open to external guests until 10:00 pm.
- Where can I find Hotel Schani Salon?
Our address is Mariahilfer Straße 58. You will find our hotel on the third floor of an Art Nouveau building right in the middle of Vienna’s most famous shopping street. Detailed information about your arrival can be found here.
- Is there a parking garage at the hotel?
No, our hotel is located in a pedestrian zone and therefore has no parking garage. However, you can park your car at a discounted rate of 29 € per day in the nearby Gerngross Garage. The garage is open 24 hours and located at Lindengasse 17–19.
- How do I reach the hotel by public transport?
Hotel Schani Salon is located right at Neubaugasse, where the U3 subway line and bus 13A stop. The U3 takes you to Vienna’s city center at Stephansplatz in just a few minutes. Bus 13A provides a direct connection to Vienna Central Station.
- Is there an airport shuttle?
Unfortunately, we do not offer an airport shuttle. However, we are happy to help you organize an airport taxi. Please send us an email in advance of your arrival.
- Is the hotel accessible?
Hotel Schani Salon is located on the third floor of an Art Nouveau building. To reach the elevator, you need to climb a single step of about 7 cm.
The 24 rooms at Hotel Schani Salon are step-free but not equipped with accessible facilities for wheelchair users. At Hotel Schani Wien Hauptbahnhof and Hotel Schani UNO City, we do offer wheelchair-accessible rooms.
- What can our digital travel companion do for you?
We have digitalized lots of things, so you can really focus on enjoying your stay in Vienna. You can fill out all your personal details on our form in advance of your arrival using our Web App. This means you can do your mobile check-in and mobile check-out simply and easily via smartphone. We will send you all the information you need beforehand by email.
Your smartphone will also become your room key thanks to our Web App. Your mobile key will be ready to download directly after check-in. However, should you prefer a good old-fashioned key card, we will gladly give you one.
